New Hampshire Farms Network

I just discovered www.newhampshirefarms.net and it appears to be a good source of information for NH farmers. Its has farm profiles, local farmers news, discussion forums, receipes, and a lot more!

Testing Services

Dairy One provides a number of testing services for Livestock farmers. Services include:

  • Forage (hay, grain, ...)
  • Water
  • Manure
  • Soil

See: http://www.dairyone.com

PS: We have not yet used their services. I just ran across their link when doing some research on the 'net.

Insect Repellents for New Hampshire

There is an excellent paper at http://extension.unh.edu/resources/files/Resource000963_Rep1073.pdf detailing various repellents in NH that are effective on NH insects. These include DEET and Picaridin, as well as a few natural and new repellents.

Farm Resources

There are a number of resources available to New Hampshire farmers:

  • NH Farm Bureau Federation is more than 5,000 families--members of 10 organized county Farm Bureaus...
  • UNH Cooperative Extension provides New Hampshire citizens with research-based education and information, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions that strengthen youth, families and communities, sustain natural resources, and improve the economy.

Moo Tones in Web File Manager

I've put the audio files I have in the Web File Manager under the "authenticated" directory. (The authenticated directory is only available to those that have logged in. The other directory there (anonymous) is what people who have not logged in can see.)

I'm looking for some way of describing (by file name) and organizing the various files. Any Ideas?
